The Bottom Line: Both of these MRI systems are excellent and would enhance any practice, hospital, or imaging center's profile and clinical capacity. What stands out for the Espree is the 70cm bore, which is an important feature for most diagnostic centers. What makes the Espree difficult is the supply and the cost. These units are difficult to locate on the used market and there are great deals of people who are waiting to acquire such a nice MRI. The Avanto is less expensive but can also prove to be difficult to locate on the used market. So if your budget and timeframe allow, the Espree may be the MRI for you.
