The brand new Siemens SOMATOM Confidence RT Pro CT scanner and the optional new syngo.via RT Image Suite software, has received clearance by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Precise contouring and personalized dose calculation with a reduced number of workflow steps are enabled by the RT images produced by the Confidence. Integrated image assessment, patient marking, and contouring are all provided by a new imaging suite.
The goal of the new Confidence is to enable personalized scans together with standardization, efficiency, and reduced costs. 120 kV CT images, enabling a controlled workflow and personalized scans optimized for image reconstruction, contouring, and dose calculation using the DirectDensity algorithm, are all built on a standard RT treatment plan of each patient. The scanner also includes iMAR metal artifact reduction, CARE kV, and a new detector.
